How to Prepare for a Maternity Photoshoot
A Few Weeks Before Your Session
t’s best to book your maternity session 4–6 weeks in advance. That way, you can choose the date and time that work best for you. If you book within 2 weeks or less, you’ll likely have to choose from the remaining available slots — and sometimes there aren’t any left.
We’ll send you our dress catalog ahead of time so you can pick your favorite looks without any rush.
The Day Before
Avoid spending too much time in the sun — it can dry out your skin and cause redness, which may require extra retouching later.
Also, skip any spicy or unfamiliar foods — better safe than sorry 😁
What to Bring
The most important thing to bring is your mood — we’ll take care of everything else. Our process is built so you feel completely relaxed and comfortable.
Here’s what you might want to have with you:
your favorite nude-colored lingerie (don’t worry about straps — we can easily remove them during editing);
your wedding ring (and if you forget it — we have a universal one-size ring at the studio);
your husband and kids 😁
On the Day of the Photoshoot
Arrive a bit early to avoid rushing — we schedule sessions back-to-back, so there may be clients before or after you.
Show us the dresses you liked from the catalog, and we’ll help choose the ones that best match your skin tone and overall look.
During the session, we’ll guide you through every pose — how to stand, where to look, and what to do with your hands. We’ll also fix your dress or hair if needed, so you can just enjoy the process.
After the Photoshoot
Within 3–4 days after your session, you’ll receive all the RAW photos so you can choose your favorites at your own pace.
Our Advice
Don’t overthink the preparation — all you really need is to show up on time and in a good mood. We’ll take care of everything else: light, poses, dresses, and compositions.
A maternity session isn’t about control — it’s about joy, connection, and memories you’ll treasure forever.
