What to Wear for a Maternity Photoshoot
Our Experience
Over the years of photographing expecting moms, we’ve learned one simple truth — future moms love variety. Most of them want different moods, styles, and looks within one session — and that’s exactly what we offer.
At Bloom N’ Baby Studio, you can combine all of the outfit styles below in a single photoshoot, without spending on multiple separate sessions.
It’s best to plan your looks in advance — just contact us, and we’ll send you a link with our 150+ available outfits so you can choose your favorites at your own pace.
Flowing Fabric Dresses
This is one of the most loved and requested styles among our clients. The soft fabric creates a feeling of lightness and movement — adding that magical, airy touch to every photo.
We use specially selected fabrics in dozens of colors and textures, and we style them carefully on the body to create the look of a luxurious, flowing gown.
Fluffy Gowns
If you want something more dramatic — fluffy gowns always make a statement. They make you feel like a queen, highlighting your femininity and working perfectly for bold, luxury-style portraits.
We’ll help you choose whether to show or cover your belly (or do both), add accessories, and make sure the gown looks absolutely perfect throughout the session.
Simple Outfits
Some moms prefer simple, non-dressy outfits — a fitted black dress, jeans with a white shirt. Honestly — that’s always beautiful.
These looks feel natural, modern, and never go out of style. They keep the focus on emotion and you — timeless and elegant.
Unique Digital Gowns
We also offer a special option — digital gowns created exclusively by our studio. These are custom-designed digital dresses that exist only in your photos — no one else will ever have the same look.
We take specific shots with controlled lighting and poses, and then “dress” you digitally while keeping your natural proportions.
The result is breathtaking — these photos always get tons of compliments and engagement on social media.
Special Looks
Right now, some of the most popular styles are swing setups, wet fabric sessions, and artistic nude (female photographer).
These looks are incredibly beautiful but require experience and sensitivity from the photographer.
If it’s important to you that these images are created safely and in a comfortable atmosphere — choose your photographer carefully.
